Durlon® MRG is designed for chemical, petrochemical, and other demanding industrial applications requiring a strong, corrosion-resistant, and high-integrity gasketed joint. Its broad selection of core and facing materials allows the gasket to be configured for varying temperatures, pressures, process media, and flange conditions. It is suitable for both light- and heavy-duty flanges and is particularly well suited to custom equipment and assemblies requiring non-standard gasket geometries. Depending on the application, MRG may also be used as an alternative to conventional compressed fibre sheet gaskets and certain spiral wound gasket designs.
Durlon® MRG
Durlon® MRG is a metal-reinforced laminated gasket combining a solid, ungrooved metal core with soft sealing layers bonded to each face. This construction provides mechanical strength and blowout resistance while allowing the facing material to conform to the flange surface and maintain a reliable seal under lower seating stresses. Available in a wide range of metal alloys and sealing materials, MRG can be configured for chemical, petrochemical, high-temperature, corrosive, and custom equipment applications. Its precision-cut construction also supports complex and non-standard gasket geometries for both light- and heavy-duty flange assemblies.
