Durlon® iGuard™ FS

The Durlon® iGuard FS style isolation gasket delivers next-generation fire-safe flange isolation, extending the capabilities of the well-established iGuard platform. Designed with dual sealing mechanisms, it combines a spring-energized PTFE seal for primary sealing with a fire-activated secondary metal Kammprofile seal, shielded by mica for thermal resilience. This advanced configuration has been successfully validated by the API 6FB which is the only API gasket fire performance standard available.

Both seals are integrated into a robust stainless-steel retainer with epoxy bonding. During standard operations, the PTFE element ensures reliable sealing. In the event of fire-induced degradation, the Kammprofile element is automatically engaged to maintain full containment integrity.
