Featured Product – Durlon® 9000

Durlon 8600

Durlon® 9000 is our tried and true when it comes to appealing to industries where highly aggressive chemicals are required. It is used extensively in chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage, and the railroad tank car industries. It has been tested and approved for liquid chlorine, caustics, gaseous oxygen, and high purity applications in the pharmaceutical industry.

Durlon® 9000 possesses its physical and mechanical properties through the homogeneous blending of pure PTFE resins with different shapes of inorganic fillers. This material is well-suited for application in steel flanges, distinguishing itself from virgin PTFE by avoiding cold flow issues and overcoming the hardness problems often found in other filled PTFE gasket products. Additionally, it facilitates easy cutting and clean separation from flanges after use.

The expansive and intricate global food and beverage sector plays a crucial role in nourishing the world’s population and significantly contributes to the worldwide economy, boasting a market value exceeding $5 trillion. This industry spans activities ranging from cultivating and harvesting crops to processing and packaging food and beverage products. Continuously evolving, it is propelled by technological advancements and shifts in consumer preferences.

Durlon® acknowledges the diverse challenges encountered by the food and beverage processing industry. Compliance with rigorous international safety and hygiene standards is imperative for every product. The materials utilized in processing equipment must not release any chemicals into the food items and must effectively prevent leaks or malfunctions that could potentially expose products to contamination. Additionally, sealing materials employed in the production process must be capable of withstanding aggressive substances like cleaning agents, greases, and extreme high and low temperatures. This is precisely why our sealing solutions exhibit outstanding performance in food and beverage applications, ensuring unparalleled product integrity, safety, and minimized downtime.

Our Food and Beverage industry related gaskets have achieved numerous certifications for WRAS approved Material, USP Class VI, FDA, API 6FB Fire Tests and conform to FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 rubber articles intended for repeated use.

Our Durlon® products, compliant with FDA regulations, find application in mixers, homogenizers, blenders, and various other food processing machinery. All raw materials and finished products undergo rigorous testing in our in-house laboratory, ensuring adherence to our elevated quality standards at every stage of the production process. This commitment is reflected in the exceptional performance of our sealing solutions in food and beverage applications, delivering unmatched product integrity, safety, and minimized downtime.
